Westcott 28" Apollo Softbox

Ok, I've only had this modifier for a couple weeks but it's AWESOME! The design of this thing is genius. It's a softbox that opens like an umbrella and it's unreal how easy it is to setup compared to a typical softbox. The picture above of my Boxer was the first picture taken with the Apollo and it puts out an incredibly soft light. I can't wait for many more shoots using this softbox. Get one for yourself and check it out, you won't be sorry.

Nice work Westcott!!!!

Music in the Village @ Mt. Orab Sept 18, 2010

Spent the evening snapping pictures at "Music in the Village" in Mt. Orab, Ohio. Nice evening, good people, and a great band playing classic southern rock. The band was "RoughShod" and they had a great sound. If I was going to create a playlist of the best southern rock, it would start with every song in their set.

Had my 1D Mark II and my 20D both equipped 2.8 Sigma's to help with the low light conditions of the evening. Occasionally mixed in my 550 with a Westcott 28" Apollo softbox to help with the low light.

Overall a great night and I snapped a couple hundred pics. I will post some on the website sometime this week.
